This gorgeous Old Mine Cut Diamond is the most beautiful plump and chunky stone that would make a perfect centre piece for a special engagement ring. The Old Mine Cut is an early form of the modern Brilliant Cut Diamond, owing to the tools available at the time the shape follows the natural shape of the rough Diamond meaning that the crown is high and facets are wide. Each Diamond was painstakingly cut by hand following the natural form of the individual stone, unlike the modern stones of today where each one is cut as close to the ‘ideal’ Brilliant Cut as possible, resulting in each modern Diamond looking exactly the same as the next.
Weighing 1.06 Carat the Diamond measures mm 6.5mm X 5.2mm. The Diamond is super clear with no visible inclusions, and approximately VS Clarity. The gorgeous warm hue is approximately K-L Colour and cut at a time where Diamonds weren’t graded by how white they were. Candlelight was the main light source at this time, a backdrop where Diamonds with a warmth of colour really came alive.
We can set this stunning antique Diamond into your choice of setting, we can assist in designing something spectacular for you from a solitaire ring, pendant or a more elaborate piece with Diamond accents. Just get in touch and we’d be more than happy to help and advise. Or maybe you’d like to propose with the loose Diamond and let your beloved choose the setting?!

Most of our vintage rings are suitable for sizing, the first sizing is free of charge and will take 1-2 weeks. You can add the size you require in the 'notes' section at checkout or email us with your order number and we will organise this for you. Some of our vintage rings are only suitable to be sized one or two sizes up or down and occasionally not at all. We will always state in the description if this is the case.

Proposing is one of the most exciting moments in life but also one of the most daunting! Once you have found a ring there are a few options if you don't know their ring size:
- Wait until you've proposed and have the ring altered afterwards. That way you can get their finger measured accurately and get the sizing right first time.
- Measure a ring they already wear. Usually there is a size or twos difference for the same finger on each hand so this isn't always the most accurate method.
Yes! We use plain and discreet outer packaging for our parcels so no one will know what's inside. We are however required to add our senders information to the back of the parcel which is on a very small label.
