A New Year Proposal

We are so excited to share our latest Holts Jewellery proposal story, especially because it involves our closest friends! When James approached us to say he wanted us to source the perfect ring for Rebekah, we couldn't contain our excitement!
The Ring
Rebekah's love of all things vintage inspired the search for a special and one-off piece, she was already sure set on the style she liked and suited her best, this had been hinted to James on many occasions. So the search for the perfect cluster commenced.
Within just a few weeks we managed to find the perfect ring, as soon as James viewed it he knew it was the one! And so the secret had to be kept, James was to propose to Rebekah on New Years Day.
The couples local village has a tradition to climb to the top of their very own mini mountain, Codden Hill, every New Years Day, and so along with around 20 other people from the village the walk began.
The Proposal
The stunning view at the top of Codden Hill allows all-round views of the local area, including Exmoor, out to sea and across mid-devon. It was here that James pulled Rebekah forwards in-front of her family and friends to drop down on one knee and present Rebekah with the most stunning 1920's old cut diamond cluster. In utter shock and excitement Rebekah said yes with cheers and whistles from the crowd behind her.
We wish them both many years of happiness together.
