A Fiji Sunrise Proposal

Our latest Holts couple, Michelle and Josh, recently got engaged with a stunning bespoke ring which Josh designed himself. Josh came to us with an idea on the style of ring that Michelle might like and really wanted to create the perfect ring for her! Josh chose a stunning certified brilliant cut diamond to sit in the centre with pear shape diamonds set to each shoulder. The setting was as simple and elegant as possible, letting the diamonds speak for themselves. We really enjoyed creating this beautiful ring for such a lovely couple, we wish them lots of luck and happiness for their future together!

Michelle has kindly shared their proposal story with us:

“We were nearing the end of our 7 weeks of travelling in the South Pacific & our last stop was Barefoot Manta Island in Fiji. Josh had carried the ring with him almost every day of our travels, waiting for the right moment to pop the question but kept finding everything was against him, the weather would come in bad or there would be no sunset, so by the last day he was beginning to lose hope. On our last morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise, it was absolutely stunning, the sea was so still, the way the ocean was lit up by the sun made it appear silky, just stunning as you can see in my pics. He managed to drop subtle hints to get me on to Manta beach - the most beautiful one on the island, we had it all to ourselves.I completely played into his hands - I am very keen on my photography & decided to set the camera up to take a photo of our silhouettes against the sunrise, this is how he managed to capture everything on camera! I put the timer going, ran back to him to pose & without me realising he had dropped to one knee & proposed with the ring presented inside a purple & white seashell that he had found on the island, I did not see that one coming! I left England with a boyfriend & came home with a Fiance”
