Art Deco 2.23 Carat Lemon Old Cushion Cut Diamond Ring
This beautiful original Art Deco piece dating to 1930’s features a glorious central Old Cushion Cut Diamond weighing 2.23 Carat and is a stunning light yellow/ lemon colour which is really charming. There are four strong claws to each corner with the shoulders being really unusual with scrolls that are set with Single Cut Diamonds setting off the centre Diamond beautifully and adding some pretty detail. There are also Diamonds set to the ends of the scrolls which can be seen from the side, with a final diamond set to the top of each shoulder! There are 9 Diamonds to each shoulder, 18 in total.
The ring is completely handmade in Platinum.
The Centre Diamond measures 8.2mm in length and 7.1mm in width. The setting including the scrolls measures 12mm in width across the finger and raises 5.5mm off the finger but doesn’t feel like it’s too high when worn as the setting is very smooth. The Diamond weighs 2.23 Carat.
The Diamond is very clear with only one or two very tiny pinpoint inclusions visible under 10x magnification and completely clean to the naked eye. Around VS Clarity. The colour is a light lemon which changes depending on the lighting conditions, in daylight it’s very pale yellow and inside it’s a little darker yellow, but the stone is so lively and bright it really sparkles!
